Cinema Bizarre's MySpace page in October of 2009 (*^_^*)

 Howdy, everyone!

It's been a long time since i've made a new blog post, but now that school has finally finished for me, i can have some time to relax, and I can finally spend more time obsessing over Cinema Bizarre and other bands, than spending my time trying to learn chemistry.. (im happy, because i wont have to study it next year 🙏)

anyway, i was thinking about what i should write for my new blog entry, and i remembed how cool Cinema Bizarre's MySpace page looked in October of 2009, and i thought i'd share some pics and the link to look at the page yourself!

their page at that time looks so cool!

i love how the main pic is a reference/takes inspiration from that famous group picture by the band "Queen" ^_^

(screenshots of their page taken in 2009)

also, here are some photos of the bizarre boyz from that same photoshoot that the pics above are! :

sadly, i wasn't able to find better quality versions of these photos </3

check their page youself, if you want to click around and see what their page and other things looked like on MySpace >_< :

Meet the European Visual Kei band "DNR" from Italy, whose member was Yu and with whom Luminor toured as a special guest! ^_^

Howdy!

I hope everyone is having a great start of May!

Today i want to write a little bit of a different blog entry, as it is not entirely about Cinema Bizarre, but rather about another, this time a real Visual Kei band from Europe - about an "EuroVisual" (how they call their genre) band called DNR (Dreams now Reality) from Italy! But don't be disappointed, as both of the bands have some history together!

also, to any die-hard DNR fans, sorry i get some things wrong, as i became a fan of them not very long ago!

first, a little bit history about their early years: (taken from their official MySpace page archive)

"In 2005 the bass-player “Kira”, strongly influenced by the Visual Kei scene and by Japanese Jrock, draw up a project which has the fusion of Oriental melody and Occidental Groove as target, the band’s purpose is to find the right dimension between these two worlds, and will be called “DNR”. Immediately Ash and Sieg (ex members of other Hard Rock made in USA bands) enter the project: the base of DNR’ sound was ready, but it will take 2 years of exhausting casting session to recruit a singer to expectations of the trio. In summer 2007, they will find in Mantis the right romantic and aggressive tone that represents the band. Now, instead of hiring another guitarist, as standard rock bands usually do, DNR opt for a 5th element with knowledge of Jazz Piano, with the intention to bring style and niceness to the sound and support to Sieg’s guitar Riffs; with the arrival of DeLord on november 2007 the formation was completed. DNR are: Kira, Ash, Sieg, Mantis and DeLord, the first italian Visual Band"

During 2009, the original trio and the singer, due to artistic differences decide to split up to proceed with their music careers in two different directions. The same year the trio decided to change their name into a more optimistic name than their previous one: before they were "Dreams Not Reality", but became "Dreams Now Reality" and then also added vocalist Axia as their main vocalist, with whom the band gained more of a hard rock sound.

In 2009 the band toured all over Europe, with a surprise guest joining them in all of their shows - Luminor!!!! Yep, everyone, after Lumi left Cinema Bizarre in 2008, in 2009 he came back to tour again, but now with DNR! There's also some videos, where it shows Lumi performing "Get Off" in some of DNR's concerts! :D (how cool is that??). He even collaborated with DNR on one song - "Follow Me", but as much as i know it was like a separate version of the song, because it is not featured on the official DNR's EP of "Visual Evolution Reloaded".

In 2011, after recording their new single "Beyond This World", DNR decided to become a 5 piece band again, after inviting Italian singer and keyboarder Sebastiano Serafini aka: SEBA on keys and vocals.

Also in 2011 they opened for the legendary Jrock/Visual Kei band "VERSAILLES", when they were on a European tour and were in Italy.

In 2013, guitarist SIEG and keyboardist and vocalist SEBA leave the band, and at some point in the year, Yu joins DNR as their guitarist, and he is also featured in the music videos of the "ANOTHER WORLD FALLS DOWN" and "NO ROMANCE" (acoustic version) songs!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY YUUUUU!!!!

I don't know much about the other years of the band's history, but at some point Yu leaves (i think he was still part of DNR in 2017), and in 2020 vocalist Flow and guitarist paZ join, thus completing DNR's current lineup (remember, i dont know anything about what happened during 2014 to 2020, only that 2 years ago they released the music video for their song "SHIN" (SHIN SHIN SHIN SHIN I LOVE SHIN, BOTH THE SONG AND OUR BELOVED DRUMMER FROM CINEMA BIZARRE )

A few days ago (2026/05/03) DNR posted some teasers on their instagram profile of something new coming out, so we better get ready for some new things!

So, thanks for reading this new blog entry of mine, i hope you enjoyed it!
please listen to their 2009 ep "Visual Revolution Reloaded" and their new music "DREAMFINITY" album and single "SHIN"!

let me know if you want any similar blog entries to this one! <3

I finally found the HD version of the "Forever or Never" music video - check it out! ♥

 Howdy, guys!

How have you all been doing??

Today i have a lot of stuff to do for school, but i still found some time that i could spend on Cinema Bizarre forum archives ^_^, and look what i found after searching for it for so much time - an HD version of the "Forever or Never" music video! I am so happy right now!!!! <3

Up until now, you could say, that the only way to view the "Forever or Never" MV was to look it up on Youtube, as it was the most easy way to find it, and it was also on the official Cinema Bizarre YouTube channel, but the only problem was that the clip was in 4:3 - the video format mostly used in the 2000s, (im sorry if im calling this aspect ration the wrong way, because i dont know any other way to name it), and even at the time when i became a Cinema Bizarre fan i just knew that there was an HD version of the MV, because it was widely used in interview segments when presenting the band and talking about it, so it was no secret that that version of the music clip existed.

There were also some uploads on YouTube of the HD "Forever or Never" music clip, but the quality of them was really horrible, so everyone just stuck up with the MV that was already on CB's channel.

okay, okay, i got REALLY off track, because i know that the reason that you clicked on this blog was only because you wanted to see the HD music video, and i totally understand you, so here it is! :D

also, im not saying, that this version is the best quality version there is in the world, it's just that im saying that i found a decent quality version of the HD music video, and if anyone knows or has a recording that's even higher in quality, feel free to let everyone know! :3

(should i upload the MV to youtube?...)

Happy Anniversary to Strify's solo album - "ILLUSION", which was released 11 years ago!!

 Yippee!

Happy birthday, "ILLUSION"!!

The album was released on April 27, 2015, so today marks it's 11th birthday! >_<

I really love this album, because it has so many cool songs on it :3

I can totally imagine the 1st song on the album, "HEARTS ARE DIGITAL" being a Cinema Bizarre song, because it has such an amazing "ToyZ" aura <3

also, "My Obsession" is on the album, but this time it's a bit changed o_O

anyway, go listen to "ILLUSION", because the whole album is such a banger, and don't forget to always support Strify!!

Stay Bizarre and celebrate! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

Interview with Cinema Bizarre in ROCKOON! magazine, 2009/04

Taken from this lovely LiveJournal blog post, much credits to the original translator and poster of the interview - eurys_elysium, and check their blog page as well, because they have some interesting and cool stuff involving CB!

CINEMA BIZARRE
ROCKOON! #04 (April 2009)
[Translation © eurydike]

Completely unexpected, the five guys left across the pond. Their task is to be the supporting act during a big tour across America and Canada. Many a new experiences for the Berliners-by-choice. Shortly after the tour had started, they took the time to answer the first questions about the current state of events.

Rockoon: What did you first think when you heard that you would be joining Lady GaGa for an extremely big US-tour?
Yu: "Wicked!" (laughs)
Strify: Lady GaGa is currently the "hottest shit around" in he music business and promises to remain that for a while. A wonderful chance to go on tour across the States with her. My first thought simply was: “Holy shit!” Then I realised that the tour would start in ten days already.
Kiro: I just couldn't believe it at first... I mean, to get a chance like that, that's absolutely crazy!!! We were all really happy!
Romeo: We were blown away. Shock and an immense happiness took us over. It's very hard to put this very moment into words.
Shin: Nobody wanted to tell me at first, they wanted to surprise me, but hey, I'm no fool and got suspicious. A day later Kiro told me during rehearsal.

How did travelling to and entering the USA go?
Kiro: We had a long flight! We flew about 16 hours all in all! When we finally reached Los Angeles, the nice weather was welcoming us already. (grins)
Romeo: It was a long trip during which we did a lot of thinking again. What will be awaiting us? Will complications arise? Et cetera. So many things cross your mind on such a long journey. Luckily, Shin distracted me with all kinds of nonsense again and again! When we emerged the airport in L.A. at last, happiness finally took us all over and we were just blown away.
Yu: So far, everything went great! In fact, we would not have received our visa for the USA until very much later, and actually we would not have been allowed to take that much excess luggage onto the plane, but in the end everything worked out fine. (grins) Would have been stupid if it hadn't!
Shin: I pushed travelling and entering (the country) to the back of my mind. I'm glad to be here and ignore that I will soon have to endure the long flight back again.
Strify: Totally smooth. The chaos of getting the visa in but a few days, something that normally requires several weeks of waiting, was solved pretty fast too.

What city did you spend your first night at? And what were your first impressions?
Strify: In Los Angeles or rather somewhere on the outskirts of it. We had a ride from the airport across L.A., Hollywood to our hotel and got to see a lot outside the window.
Kiro: In Los Angeles! I love L.A., it's wonderful there and the sunny weather added to that of course! Above all, the people are very friendly!
Romeo: Los Angeles. (laughs) Damn... it's wicked here!
Shin: L.A. - after we'd found our way out of the airport, I got to see this extremely clean city, it was like a dream!
Yu: L.A. rawks! When we arrived at the airport, it already felt like “Welcome home”. I really fell in love with this city a little bit because I know some people there and had a lot of fun with them, jamming and so on. I'm longing for L.A. a little. (laughs)

And how did the first shows go? How big were the stages there?
Kiro: The stages are of different sizes! But the concerts we had so far went great! It's a new experience to us not to be the main act on stage, but the audience gave us a warm welcome every time so far and the people participated really well!
Strify: GaGa's stages are all of different sizes. The one in Los Angeles is one of the biggest and the one in San Francisco an extremely small one. Being the Special Guest is a new experience to us and we mingle with an audience that is not mainly focussed on us! I like to call all this “the fame experience”.
Yu: In fact, everything's quite chaotic here and we cope with all of it pretty well. (grins) Some of the stages are so small you cannot even take a real step, and some are much too big so that you would almost feel lost. (laughs)
Romeo: Till now, we were able to win the audience over at the shows, arranged a new set for every day to surprise the people and to coax them out of their shell at the same time. The stages are of different sizes; that's why there are sometimes two shows in a row on one day what posed another new challenge. One that we mastered with enthusiasm. I'm sure we will come up with many more things for the concerts to come.
Shin: The first shows were very chaotic, no sound checks and so on... But it's getting better with every concert, and so does the team's collaboration.

Strify, which songs do you play on this tour?
Strify: We constantly change the set list. Generally, there are Deeper And Deeper, How Does It Feel, Lovesongs (They Kill Me) and Escape..., She Waits For Me, After The Rain and Dysfunctional Family.

Life is not always easy for a supporting act. Is Lady GaGa's crew being nice to you?
Kiro: To us, everybody is super nice. (laughs)
Yu: We are treated very well and everybody's very cool. We also get along very well with the other supporting acts, talk to them a lot backstage and always wish them good luck before the show...
Strify: We don't have a sound check, line check et cetera. So, there's always a lot to do before the shows and I cannot complain about any of the crew members so far and think this won't change. We met her crew and the “House of GaGa” and they are all very professional, talented and particularly creative minds.
Romeo: The crew here is just excellent, it's fun to work with them. Now and then we also like to fool around a bit when there's enough time.
Shin: Yes, they're totally nice and friendly, but everybody's got a lot to do.

How did you establish contact with Lady GaGa anyway?
Kiro: We met her after a concert in Berlin. Lady GaGa was supporting the Pussycat Dolls! We had a long talk and got along really well! And that's how it happened that Lady GaGa wanted to have us as supporting act!
Strify: We were at her concert in Berlin and just asked if we could meet her. She then came to have a conversation with us for a while after her show and said we look like all of her ex-boyfriends. A few days later we received a phone call saying that she would like us to join her for a tour one day.
Romeo: We met her personally at the concert she gave with the Pussycat Dolls in Berlin. Had a long conversation with her and laughed a lot. She is a breathtakingly interesting and creative woman. A few days later, we received a phone call: “Hey guys, don't you wanna join me on my tour?”

And how is the reaction of the American audience to you? Many Americans are said to be prudes. Is your styling too much for them?
Kiro: Didn't have any negative experience yet! I don't think they're prudes at all: people here are very open to new things, that's awesome!
Romeo: So far, we were able to win people over at every show in the USA!
Shin: They are? In L.A. and all the other major cities our style was well received.
Strify: America is the country of contradictions. Very conservative on the one hand, totally crazy on the other. It always depends on where in America you are, too. The coasts differ a lot from the inland. Till now, our look is very well received here in California.
Yu: The audience occurs to me as being very divided, some probably don't know what to make of us, for many of them we are nothing but the supporting act they don't know and some again show interest and rock (with us). It's fun to heat up the masses that stood still at first and then start to rock because they just cannot help it. (laughs)

Up to now, was there something that made you think: “Such a thing wouldn't exist in Germany!”?
Kiro: For example, when you go to a supermarket here – I've just been to a Walmart and even the packaging is huge! You wouldn't find something like this in Germany!
Romeo: Cash points in supermarkets that pay by themselves.
Shin: Everything in XXL... I've got the feeling that I'm slowly becoming XXL myself, ha ha...
Strify: That everything, and I mean everything, is in “big size”. Or rather, if you want less, you pay more.
Yu: Clubs that are open until 2 a.m. only! I'm not much of a clubber, but even I think this is really stupid.

Have you bought and packed a souvenir yet?
Kiro: Yes, sure, I went shopping in L.A. recently and found a few things. (grins) An incredibly great silver jacket, shoes and jewellery!
Romeo: I finally got the chance to meet some friends of mine in the USA that were on tour in L.A. too by coincidence. The band Eyes Set To Kill, and I went to see their show. The first concert I've ever got to see in the USA, on a stage that we would play later in April as well. That's something you memorise.
Shin: Haven't racked my brains about that yet, but I think I would take something typically American with me such as a McDonalds bag.
Yu: At Hot Topic I bought myself a little Zelda buckler that is actually a package for some kind of mini hard candy. And we bought plastic guns we have loads of fun with, something you got to see on our Twitter, too.

Are you travelling by tour bus and how do you like that? Or do you fly from one place to the next?
Kiro: We are travelling by tour bus! I like it! I always sleep very well in these beds because of the rocking! Apart from that, the bus is very cosy and we want for almost nothing. (laughs)
Romeo: Apart from the cuddly beds that have an extra TV (laughs), (it's a) typical American tour bus. From a giant TV in the lounge, Xbox and all that stuff against the boredom, to the kitchen we've got everything. A little home on wheels.
Shin: If we were to fly, I'd wonder when we're supposed to sleep. (laughs)
Strify: We have two totally awesome plasma TVs, but actually never have time to watch. And otherwise, in order to see for yourself, check out some of the clips online soon.

What do you expect of the next few weeks on tour?
Yu: Sex, drugs & Rock'n'Roll... Okay, maybe only just a lot of fun! (laughs)
Strify: A lot of concerts; today we're in San Francisco. We've already played a show and the second one is up in a moment. We'll get to see all the States and to meet a lot of people. We'll get a taste and can already prepare for our own concerts in April. Additionally, we will shoot the video to our new single My Obsession.
Kiro: That we will have a lot of fun, gain a lot of experience and just enjoy our time here!
Romeo: That we will get better with every show, gain a lot of experience. Get to know a lot of people, have loads of fun, see a lot of the USA and of Canada.
Shin: ...a lot of fun and love in the music.

Finally, do you have message for your European fans?
Kiro: Soon we'll be back and then we'll go on a European tour again! I'm really looking forward to that! I'm also looking forward to touring Germany because that's my or rather our home country after all and that's where I feel at home! So, get ready, there will be a lot of new stuff soon! Many toys for Europe! (laughs)
Romeo: The planning for our European tour is under way. As soon as we're on tour in Europe again, you will for sure be flashed by our new show and a lot of other things. (laughs) Come visit our concerts and experience toyZ.
Yu: I hope you're following our blogs and Twitter and get to see what we're up to – and don't forget: we're coming back! America is nothing but the advance in order to fire you guys in Europe up!!!
Shin: I'm totally looking forward already to being back in Europe soon!
Strify: I'm looking forward to getting back home and to really getting started here as well! So, don't worry, Germany and Europe, we won't forget you, this is our home.

Cinema Bizarre VISA credit cards! ^^

 Howdy!!

I hope everyone is doing well! :3

Yet again a new blog entry, and this time about the Cinema Bizarre VISA credit cards!

Yep, you heard that right!

Cinema Bizarre had their own themed VISA credit cards!

in 2008, though the Cinema Bizarre's official band website, you could order a VISA card with one of the 6 offered designs - with Strify, Kiro, Yu, Shin, Luminor, or of the whole band, with the cards being themed after the "Escape to the Stars" music video.

On the website, it said, that anyone aged from 12 years old would be able to get the Cinema Bizarre card for free and you'll get a special bonus per euro spent with the card, and then you'll be able to redeem rewards on the Cinema Bizarre merch shop with those points; and also, if you got lucky, you could win a special meet and greet with the whole band!

there were 3 types of Cinema Bizarre cards that you could have:

  • BEATPAY VISA CARD prepaid - for young people aged 12 and up
  • BEATPAY VISA CARD young - the card for young adults from 18 years and older for  €1.99 per month, with a monthly spending limit of €1,000
  • BEATPAY VISA CARD premium - the card for young adults from 18 years and older for only €2.99 per month, with a monthly spending limit of €2,500
i think that it would've been so awesome to have a Cinema Bizarre credit card....
also, it was super hard to find any pictures of the cards! i started writing this blog almost 7 months ago with the idea that i will post it soon, but as it turned out, it was impossible to find the photos of the cards, so thats why i gave up, and only now, 3 days ago, i accidentally found all of the pictures ive been desiring to find in a random peruian CB blog... (many thanks to the person who made the blog 16 years ago!)

and so, here are the pics!!! : (the guys look amazing here!)

Luminor's collaboration with Nik Page on 2 songs on his EP ''voices from outer space" in 2009

 Howdy!

Today i made a rather interesting discovery - that Lumi had made a collab with a german electro goth rock artist, and a member of 80s synth band "Blind Passengers" member - Nik Page!

Prior to this discovery i hadn't even known of this artist O.O

While browsing an old Cinema Bizarre blog, i found this screenshot, and was excited to learn that we can hear Lumi's voice on 2 different songs!

You can hear him sing on the songs "Your Bad Temptation (Tuesday Edit)" and "Voices From Outer Space (Extended Version)"!

The songs are also really catchy, and Luminor's voice is so pretty! <3

It would be so cool i could get my hands on this cd...

and here are the scans of the cd, that you can also find at the discogs page of the EP!:

there were no good quality uploads of the songs, so i had to specifically search for them online (had to spend an hour and 20 minutes downloading both of of the songs), and so now you can download the songs after clicking this link that leads you to my google drive folder with both of the songs!:

Strify's blog on Myspace / 2008/06 / Blog Bizarre N° 12 - Just poppin’ bye!

Blog Bizarre N° 12 - Just poppin’ bye!

Howdy out there! (Echo: Howdy.owdy.owdy)
Can you hear me? I hope so ;)

Yeah! During the last days we've been home in Berlin again after spending some time in the studio and doing some promotion for the first album. It's pretty crazy, promoting the first record and starting to plan the second. Don't want to tell too much for now but I have so many ideas in my mind.
And it's so great to travel around the world, promoting FINAL ATTRACTION and giving concerts. It's an amazing thing that we have the oppurtunity that our debut album is released in about 14 countries. I wouldn't have thought that one year ago. One year ago we just moved to Berlin because everthing was in the raising blocks.
There were no magazines, no TV - just the internet. And still I try to keep that myspace thing going. Though it's hard because I receive hundreds of mails each day and I have other things to do as well. Nyeah! Hope you're doin' right, bitches! Sorry for that... You shouldn't take that personally. That's just me. I call even Kiro a bitch all the time ;)
Yeah... as you see I'm doin' fine too. Took some pictues for you today. I was dressed up all 80s with a neo pink shirt, a belt with strify letters and a star necklace! That's my summer look I guess ;)

Hope you like the pictures.
See you very soon ;)

80s rule!

Strify.
xxx

PS: Because of the party in July. I'm lookin forward to it. But not to let it end in a total chaos and not to disappoint you, I just wanted to say, that it's true that we will be there and you can see us but we will just be there for a while as DJs. <3

Shin is playing drums again!! (video from his IG story, 2026/03/25)

 Yipppeeee!!

I'm so happy that he's drumming again!!

These are taken from his Instagram story, that were on his profile on 2026/03/25

Also sorry for the watermark that you can see on one of the videos on the right, i didn't have it turned off the day i recorded the story, and im sorry for it blocking some of the video </3

Can you hear me?

My name is Jack E. Strify and today is the first day of 2009.
I got a great feeling when I think about that year.
I feel that the universe has something great coming for us.
Can you feel it too? Are you with me in 2009?

I just have a simple intention.
I just want to write pop history this year.
You know I'm a modest guy.

It's crazy what a difference a year makes. I learnt many lessons in 2008, I was seeing so many new faces and places. I lost and found friends and it was a crazy rollercoaster ride. And now I'm wondering what will happen in the next twelth months... I mean it's just 365 days, 8'760 hours. That's not much compared to what can happen in that time. You can lose or win everything. Somehow life seems like a game and we're all toys in it.

So I'm wishing you all the best in 2009!
And I hope you had a great night like I had yesterday.
Kiro, Shin and me were invited over to a friend's house in Berlin.
So we had a little nice party on our own until midnight.
Afterwards we headed to a club where some Berlin-famous Drag queens were DJs and I was all dancy and enjoying myself like always when I go out.
Just give me a spotlight, a discoball and some music and I'm happy.
On the next album we also have some songs for the dancefloor. I want to have a little dancefloor invasion!

Are you ready to play?

Love,
Jack E. Strify

 Howdy!!

Did you miss me?? ;P

How have you guys been???

I recently remembered that i found and posted a couple of cute Cinema Bizarre concert photos, from their 2009 tour in the US, from the show that happened in New York, Highline Ballroom venue, 2009/04/24, and i decided to search for some more pictures from that cool show!

I really love the vibe that you can feel from the photos and videos from that show, because everyone just looks super excited and happy to see the boys!!

There's a lot of photos from this show, because of how much traction it gained back then, and because there were a lot of fans of Cinema Bizarre in America at that time ^_~
