the current state of the CB fandom

i dont have a lot of new blog entry ideas, so this one wont be the best in my opinion, bc i dont even know from where to start 

okay so

More than a year ago, when I became a fan of CB, the fandom was basically nonexistent.

There were only around ten edits of them, all posted a long time ago (like in 2023 or so), and nobody was making new content about them. I also had to do my own research, digging through old, non-working forums and blogs to piece together everything about them from the remnants of a fandom that had been so active and thriving in the 2000s.

Later, I started making CB content on my own (if you can even call moodboards content), and gradually, more people began becoming fans of them.

One thing I noticed was that most of the people who followed me or engaged with my content were fans of Tokio Hotel. This surprised me a bit, but since Cinema Bizarre and Tokio Hotel were “rival” bands in the 2000s (at least, that rivalry was mostly fan-created), I didn’t pay it much attention at first.

Eventually, I also saw more people making CB content on TikTok - but these new creators were mostly TH fans themselves. Initially, this didn’t seem like a big deal, but I soon realized that many of them were quite uneducated about CB, its history, and its members. This wasn’t really their fault, though - the fandom is very old, and after the band’s disbandment in 2010, very little information had been preserved.

The problem started when these fans took things to Strify’s TikTok page. They began flooding the comment sections with comments like “you’re a copy of Bill” or “wow, you look just like Bill!”- referring to Bill Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel.

I know a lot of people would say, “it’s such a non-issue,” but I can’t help feeling a bit sad. Every time Strify opens his comment section, he has to see these 13-year-old Tokio Hotel fans endlessly comparing him to Bill.

I just hope people will start behaving a bit more respectfully, so the fandom doesn't end up hating other fans and having to complaint about them, because I've heard a lot of times, that the TH fandom is in a very bad state, and i don't want that to happen to the fandom of Cinema Bizarre too.
